ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT - Increased Household Income

Under Increased household income, the focus is on empowerment of youths, women, PLHIV and girls in line with the eighth national development plan. 

The 8th National Development Plan (8NDP) identifies key constraints, including limited technical capacities, insufficient funding, and inadequate infrastructure in crucial sectors like transport, energy, and agriculture. In response, KCIA plans to implement strategies to alleviate economic and social pressures, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, community-based savings and support groups, and advocating for policies that address income inequality. These initiatives aim to build resilience and improve the well-being of communities, particularly in the Kabangwe area and beyond.
