We all deserve to be safe, equal and respected. But on average, a woman in Zambia is abused by a man they know every 10 days. It doesn't have to be this way. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign led annually by UN Women. It runs every year from 25 November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day). During the 16 Days of Activism, communities around the world join the call to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls and this years theme is "Activism against Gender-Based Violence"
The PATA 2023 Summit this hybrid event is free to participate in and will take place simultaneously across 12 countries through regional in country satellites, and virtually via the PATA Linking and Learning Hub. The summit is taking place from 14-16 November 2023
The World AIDS day will be commemorated on 1st December 2023. As an active member of the Lusaka District HIV-AIDS committee, KCIA will be part of this event by participating in satellite activities as well as commemoration on the actual day under the theme “Remember and Commit”.
