In 2023 KCIA hosted the PATA Summit satellite spoke in Lusaka, Zambia under the theme “The Face of Care: Health providers and communities at the frontline of paediatric and adolescent HIV service delivery in Africa”. The Lusaka District Director-Administration officiated at the 2023 Lusaka satellite summit. The 2023 PATA summit like any other summit took place from 14th – 16th November 2023, and it was hosted across Africa with about 21 satellites located in 13 sub-Saharan African countries.
Following the registration process, KCIA & PATA shortlisted the final participant list from the following districts Lusaka, Chibombo and Chongwe. The summit consisted of 46 Participants from Lusaka province health official, Lusaka district health official, health facilities in-charges, Doctors, Nurses, students, social workers, peer supporters and partner organizations. The 2023 PATA summit was grounded in the perspectives collected from 2022 PATA summit participants. The 2023 summit gave a voice to those on the frontlines, whilst offering health providers opportunities to learn, engage and access skills and resources in areas where they most reported a lack of confidence.
