KCIA plans to address pressing challenges of food insecurity, inflation, and water scarcity through comprehensive interventions. The organization plans to resource mobilize for projects that will help in the provision of emergency food aid, promote kitchen gardens, and offer nutrition education to improve household food access, while integrating malnutrition screening for children under five through referrals to the partner health facilities. To restore livelihoods, KCIA will support income-generating activities and climate-resilient farming for rural families through its projects, particularly female-headed households. In response to water shortages, the organization will strive to have programs with other partners, to help safeguard water points, and promote hygiene education to prevent waterborne diseases like cholera.
